Crossroads 2020 Conference cancelled

Dec 15, 2020 | Crossroads, News

In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of the ACS and the organizing committee decided to cancel the Lisbon 2020 Crossroads. The spread of the virus continues to affect travel and meetings across the world, with news shifting by the hour, making it very hard to predict even the immediate future.

The Board of the ACS and the organizing committee are following its evolution very closely and, for the moment, we still hope to hold the conference in Lisbon eventually. Tentative plans are underway to reschedule the conference to 2022, but these are still dependent on how the epidemiological situation unfolds worldwide. We are facing extremely unusual circumstances that demand our closest attention to how things are developing, also having in mind the safety of all.

We thank all of you who sent paper and panel proposals. We plan to keep the accepted paper and panel proposals if/for when the conference takes place at a later date.

Kindest regards,

The administrative team of Association for Cultural Studies, on behalf of the ACS Board and the Crossroads Conference Organizing Committee
